  • Absolutely! We offer modifications and challenges throughout the class for all fitness levels.

FLIGHT: We recommend starting with either an Aerial Yoga 1 class or a Restorative class. This is for any newcomers regardless of their fitness level. If at any point in class, you feel like you need a moment, simply “chillax" into your hammock. Allow yourself to be surprised at what your are capable of!

FORM: Everyone has to start somewhere-Just jump right in and take a class. We offer modifications for our moves, so just listen to your body. The more classes you take the quicker your transitions will be because you will start to pick up on the lingo and technique.

  • The most important thing is to listen to your body and to take rest days when needed. Thankfully, even though we have high intensity classes, all of our classes are low impact.

FLIGHT: Since we have many different types of AntiGravity classes, this all depends. Mixing your styles up each day will allow your body to recover more easily since there is so much stretching incorporated in these classes. Not to mention the great benefits of our zero-compression inversions. If you are just taking the classes that are more on the fitness side of AntiGravity (Pilates, AIRbarre, Suspension, & Flying Fitness), clients may want to take up 5 classes per week.

FORM: Just starting out? You should expect some muscle soreness after your first Lagree class that can last up to three days. So, we recommend taking around 2-3 classes per week. That way you can assess what is best for your body. These classes are designed to fatigue your muscles, so rest days are important. When should you take your next class? When you are not sore anymore. Once you have taken a few classes, your body will recover faster and you can start taking classes more often.

If you like to workout often, we recommend taking AntiGravity Restorative as your “active rest day”.

  • You must be at least 13 years old to participate in any of our AntiGravity weekly classes.

You must be at least 16 years old to participate in any of our Lagree weekly classes.

Our 10-week Kids/Teens Courses are for participants 5-15 years old. Click here for more info on our Kids/Teens Series.

If you are under the age of 18 we will need a parent signature in order for you to take a class.

  • Only if they are registered for a class.

Due to safety considerations and out of respect for the experience of other guests, we cannot allow children or pets to accompany you during your class. We also cannot allow unsupervised children under the age of 18 to sit alone in the lobby, as we do not have on site child care. This is for Liability reasons.

  • We do not allow participants to take photos or videos during class. However, time permitting, you may ask your instructor to take photos of you.

Kids/Teens 10-week session-photos and videos are allowed during the “Show and Share”.

  • With your FLIGHT, FORM COMBO 1 or COMBO 2 Monthly Membership, a guest pass is included every month. Those will be active in your account either on the 1st or the 15th of the month and will continue as long as your Monthly Membership is active. Those guest passes expire within 30 days.

Could you use your guest pass for yourself for a second class of the day? Absolutely! It is already in your account ready to be used.

If you would like to gift that guest pass to someone else, you have that option. Here is what you will need to do…

    1. On your account you have a personal referral code. If you are on the FitDEGREE app on the HOME page, scroll down until you see “Refer a friend to this studio” followed by your REFERRAL CODE. There is a “Share your link” button that you can click to send that code directly to them. When you send that code, just let them know that you are gifting them your guest pass for that month and they can book a class (it does not have to be a class you are enrolled in).

    2. From that link you sent, they will need to create a FitDEGREE account.

    3. Once they do that, just let us know who you gave your guest pass to, and we will link their account to your account. Then they can have access to your guest pass, and can register for class after your two accounts are linked.

For your future guest passes, you can keep gifting that to the same person, or change people each month. Just let us know who will be using your Guest Pass for that month, and we can link your accounts. description

  • We definitely recommend taking a Lagree class first, then AntiGravity second. This way you can relax & stretch after your workout. This will also help your body recover faster!

No matter what level of AntiGravity you are, Aerial Yoga 1 (Fundamentals) or Restorative Yoga are the ONLY classes we recommend after a Lagree class.

FAQs

FAQ just for FLIGHT

  • Yes. Our hammocks can hold over 1000lbs.

Just be sure to maintain contact with the hammock at all times, & listen to your instructor.

  • AntiGravity® Fitness is the original aerial yoga technique. Over 7 years went into the development of the technique after Christopher Harrison created the apparatus. He created a very specific nomenclature and sequencing that can be done safely. AntiGravity® is the only aerial yoga/fitness technique certified by the AFAA.

  • If you have an AntiGravity branded hammock, you may use if for class. We cannot allow any other brands in class.

  • Aerial Yoga 1 (Fundamentals) is less about fitness level and more an introduction to a new experience. In these classes one learns the basic wraps, grips and traps, the basis of the practice, while becoming familiar with the hammock and inversions. Being upside down is also a new sensation and sometimes it takes a few times to get used to the feeling no matter how fit you are.

If you are brand new to AntiGravity, Aerial Yoga 1 and/or Restorative are great class options.

When you are ready for level 2, your instructor will let you know.

  • Instructor permission is required for Aerial Yoga 2 & 3, and Flying Fitness.

You should be able to move safely in and out of the hammock without a spot or cueing. This is to ensure that you have a comfort level with the grips, wraps and traps with the hammock. These two classes are easier for those who maintain a consistent fitness regiment and has a strong core.

During Level 2 classes-your instructor will guide you in and out of level 2 poses. They will not give instruction for level 1 skills. You will still get to do level 1 curriculum, but rather than guiding you into a pose, they will say things like “let’s get set up for Vampire”.

During Level 3 classes-your instructor will guide you in and out of level 3 poses. They will not give instruction for level 1 & 2 skills. You will still get to do level 1 & 2 curriculum, but rather than guiding you into a pose, they will say things like “when you are ready, move into your Queen Bee”.

  • There are testimonials all around the world about healing back pain and other aliments through these AntiGravity fitness techniques. Currently there are studies being conducted to gather concrete evidence. Until then, you will only know by coming to class.

    My personal answer…yes!

  • Pregnancy, glaucoma, recent surgery (especially shoulder, eyes, back, hip, hands or wrist), heart disease, very high or low blood pressure, easy onset vertigo, osteoporosis/bone weakness, recent head injury, cerebral sclerosis, propensity for fainting, carpal tunnel syndrome, severe arthritis, sinusitis or head cold, hiatial hernia, disc herniation or acute discogenic disease, recent stroke, artificial hips, radiculitis (inflammation of nerve root in spine), severe muscle spasms, botox injections (within 6 hours).

Please read the Health Considerations for AntiGravity.

  • We recommend having something to stave off dizziness. However, we do not recommend a big meal.

  • This could be a challenge if one has a strong propensity for dizziness or a "hips over head" spatial awareness style dyslexia. Ginger candy before class can help.

You will fell taller and lighter. Your muscles will have a pump and you will be refreshed! Our promise to you that after class you will be stretched to your maximum height, varying between 1/4" to 1 1/2" taller. Unfortunately, the effects are not cumulative.

FAQ just for FORM

  • Though both workouts are low impact, Lagree is performed at a much higher intensity and can only be accomplished by using Megaformer™. Lagree is based on slow controlled movements to help work multiple muscle groups at once.  Pilates tends to focus on faster movements and targets one muscle group at a time.

Once you take a class, you will feel the difference!

  • All of our classes are suitable for all levels. If you are new to Lagree, we recommend taking our Intro to Lagree classes. You will still get all the benefits of a Lagree class, this will just be more suited for those who are new to the Lagree Method working mainly off the front of the machine.

  • Yes! If you are new to Lagree and you are pregnant, please make sure to check with your doctor before starting a brand-new fitness regimen. You must also remember to check in with your instructor prior to class so they can go over the correct modifications and adjustments with you. Please do this for every class you take as each class will be different and our instructors can modify moves if necessary. Ultimately, we recommend you listen to your body and do what feels safe.
